About Lick

‘Lick’ is a stunning 2000 acre estate within the heart of the Highlands.

With breathtaking veiws across Loch Tummel surrounded by hillside with osprey, golden eagles, pine martins, grouse and red deer. Despite the privacy offered by its situation it is accessible to culture, fine dining, shopping and adventure activities. We welcome well behaved dogs and can provide safe grazing for horses.

Local Area

Only 7 miles from Pitlochy, which is the gateway town for the highlands, is serviced with supermarkets, florists, a theatre, restaurants, a chemist, a vet and a doctors. The area has the beautiful villages of Aberfeldy and Dunkeld close by, and Perth is a 45 minutes drive away.

Perthshire is the country of glens, trees, wildlife, culture, sporting activities, golf distilleries and enchanted walks.

History

Dr and Mrs Alasdair Emslie purchased Lick in 2013 and have undertaken a two year programme of re building and refurbishing Lick House.
They have re-introduced sustainable grazing with their Highland Cattle, built new estate roads to improve accessibility, and are active members of the Strathtay Deer Management Group.
The estate has pre-historic and ancient stone settlements and artefacts and allegedly gold has been successfully panned in the past!

Wine

We have worked with a local wine importer to put together an exclusive wine list. All the wine is available for you to order and will be ready waiting for you to arrive.
